Mission statement: During Dance/Art Club, students will execute self-expression through drawing & body movement. Students will blend Fine Arts (Dance) with Art Illustration. Each student may choose: Art through movement or Art through illustration. Students will learn basic anatomy & physiology of the body through diagrams and movement. The following dance styles will be offered during the Dance/Art Club: Hip-Hop, Jazz, Breakdance, Lyrical, Latin Dance, Ballet, and/or African. Students will fundraise in order to receive uniforms in which they will practice and perform. Lastly, students will learn discipline, team work, and respect for others.
Students attend Dance/Art Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the Performing Arts Room. Students may take the 3:15PM bus home with a note from a parent; however the club ends at 4:30PM and the 4:30PM bus is available for all participants in the Dance/Art Club.
